ACCOMODATION

Multiple Comfort | Our recommend choice for all tours is the Comfort Style, which is generally in a 3* category. This style choice gives you comfortable hotels with good service and facilities, whilst keeping a local appeal. Our aim to to use only locally owned hotels whenever possible on this tour.

Overnight Sleeper Train | The Sleeper train is a pleasant way to travel between Cairo and Upper Egypt. Boarding the train you are shown to your two berth/one berth compartments and presented with dinner. Shortly afterwards the steward will change your seated compartment into a cosy sleeper cabin for lights out. The journey to Aswan takes approximately twelve hours (Luxor 9 hours). About an hour before arrival, you will be brought breakfast to enjoy while catching the view of the palm trees and sand banks that will confirm that you are a long way from Cairo

Morning visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities where you will see a mesmerizing display of artifacts including the spectacular Tutankhamun collection. Stare in awe and wonder at the Royal Mummies laying, as if sleeping, in their glass cases (extra charge). Afternoon is free time for you to explore Cairo or book one of optional excursions. 3Giza Pyramids & Sakkara

Full Day sightseeing tour of Cairo, taking in the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. The pyramids are the only wonder of the ancient world still standing today, and time permitting, you will get the opportunity to go inside one of the pyramids for a small extra charge. Please note that the interior of the pyramid is hot, humid and quite claustrophobic with steep dusty passages. We then continue on to the oldeset pyramid in Egypt at Sakkara. We board the overnight train to Aswan, in sleeper cabins and enjoy a dinner onboard

Free day for you to relax and catch your breath or meander around the streets sightseeing or set sail down the River Nile on a traditional felucca boat (extra charge). Free Day with optional visit to the spectacular Abu Simbel temples. Early 3am pick up for the drive to Abu Simbel which is approximately 300km from Aswan. The twin temples are located on the westren bank of Lake Nasser which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Nubian Monuments. Marvel at the sheer size of these magnificent temples that were hand carved out of the mountainside as a lasting monument to Pharaoh Ramesses 11 and his Queen Nefertari. Overnight in Aswan hotel BB.

Full day sightseeing in Luxor on the Westbank. Step back in time and travel by doneky to discover the famous site of the Valley of the Kings and Queens. There are 63 known tombs which differ dramatically in size, from a simple pit to complex tombs boasting 120 chambers. Explore these ancient tombs before heading back over the river to visit the beautiful funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s first female Pharoah. Overnight in Luxor hotel BB.

10Ras Abu Galloum Camel Trek

A must while in Dahab is to do a camel trek and to discover the underwater coral reefs & marine life. Combining both these is the Camel Trek along the coast to Ras Abu Galloum National Park. Depart your Hotel at 8am, drive to the further point accessible by car to the Blue Hole. Here you meet the camelleers and start the 1.5 hr trek into Ras Abu Galloum. Arriving on location we will set up a small camp in one of the beach huts as our base for exploring the surrounding area. Magnificent snorkeling with an easy access in and out of the water, so perfect for all levels. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch cooked on the open fire, with plenty of time to snorkel or chill out taking in the tranquil ambiance. Return by camel to the Blue Hole and transfer back to Dahab. Overnight in Dahab Hotel.
